Study Ladder: Inspire. Motivate. Achieve

Study Ladder is a FREE educational resource for teachers that you and your students will love!

What is Study Ladder?

Study Ladder is free for teachers and students to use in the classroom or at home.  The site is comprehensive and accommodates grades K - 8.  One of my most favorite aspects is that you do not need to download any software nor do you have to commit to purchasing a license to get the benefits of this amazing educational resource.  Truly a gem!

Study Ladder has up to ten subject areas: mathematics, literacy, science, mastering numeracy, health/safety/citizenship, music, art, language/culture, interactive whiteboard activities (whoo-hoo!), and a marathon fundraiser.  Once you create a free account (simply use your email address to set it up), you are able to have full access to all of the resources and subject areas.  The home page is laid out quite nicely in that you simply select the large color box for the subject area you wish to explore.

Once you are in a specific subject area, the website is very organized!  Each topic within the subject/content area is labeled in bold.  Under each subheading, you will see thumbnail images of what the activity looks like so that you can preview the material before navigating away from the page.  ...and get this - most of the interactive activities are accompanied with activity pages that can also be printed off for the student to take home (or to be given to an absent child).  Nice!

  6. Studyladder is the only "game" (er, thing)my children are allowed to do on the computer. They love it.

My eldest (10) loves to get ahead of school work too - & there's always plenty to keep her going.

I used to go through A LOT of money purchasing 'homework' books, Studyladder keeps them all interested as often as I'll let them onto the site.

Studyladder makes doing homework fun. I don't have to nag my kids to practise thair Maths or Spelling. They enjoy racking up reward points and 'buying' things for their virtual room.
As a teacher, I found the music resources invaluable when I was teaching recorder. Interactive whiteboard resources made practise fun and painless.

I love Studyladder and so do my Kinder/Prep students! We use it during our numeracy rotations and the fact that it links to the curriculum mean I can introduce new topics on the interactive whiteboard as a whole class and then individuals students can consolidate and extend their learning.

  16. Had a lot of success with my two children with this site. My daughter in particular loves the family puzzles each week. What we love about it is that each section can be studied independently of the year for example my daughter is doing the whole hand writing curriculum at the moment just exclusively as she is so into it and my son is focussing on his times tables.
Thanks study lader for providing such a good affordable site.
