We kept exploring colours and patterns. This time I printed and cut snowmen's pieces onto red, blue, green, and yellow cardboard.
I invited her to "build" some snowmen. First she sorted the snowmen's pieces by colour. Then she used them to make a blue and a red snowmen.
She kept thinking and decided these snowmen weren't funny so she decided to mix pieces.
While playing we reviewed colours as well as some parts of the body such as arms, hands, nose, eyes, mouth, head and body. I guided her with questions such as "What colour are his eyes?" "Has he got a green nose?" . Finally we added a hat and a scarf. And of course, she made up funny names for them such as "Blue arms and green nose Peter".
