It's National Pencil Day!! (FREEBIE)

Kids love new pencils.  Hey...I LOVE new pencils:)  There is something about the smell and look of a new sharpened pencil!  I love the way they write.  I love how they look when they are all the same size and sharpened in a nice container. (Kind of nerdy and a little OCD...I know)

Did you know that March 30th is National Pencil Day?  I created some pencil flags for you to help encourage your students as the year is quickly ending.   But first, let me give you some FUN facts about pencils:

1.  A single pencil can write 45,000 words or draw a line that is 35 miles long!
2.  A pencil can write in water!
3.  Manufactures painted the first pencils in yellow because the color was associated with royalty and honor.

So happy National Pencil Day and enjoy this FREEBIE!!  Hop on over to The Moffatt Girls blog to get your free pencil flags!
