Persuasive Writing and Point of View

We're diving deeper into our Persuasive Writing unit, and we've accomplished a lot this week.  We've made our bulletin board, created anchor charts, read different mentor texts, and have just begun to look at persuasive techniques in advertising.  I'm pairing our writing unit with my Point of View reading unit.  It's a perfect match!  Come on over to my blog to see pictures from all of our activities this week.

I also created a new set of Literary Element cootie catchers (author's purpose, characterization, figurative language, point of view, and tone and mood) to give my students a focus during their pair-share after daily independent reading.  Click on the picture to the right to take a peek at them.

Happy Saturday!!!
