Friends~Earth Day is coming up on April 22 so I wanted to get my kiddos thinking about how we can beautify & take care of our planet. Well, today we did just that by reading City Green by DyAnne DiSalco-Ryan. It is a wonderful book that brings diversity and visualization together with a garden. It is a perfect book to tie into your Earth day activities.
I also spent yesterday afternoon with my team in a training for Interactive Read Alouds with Accountable Talk. I am excited to begin organizing my literature with Post Its to keep me on track when I am reading. I love the idea of the Read Aloud because it encourages the reader to be "transparent" with their thinking.
Here is a quick Preview of how I print directly to my Post It. This allows me to place them in my books and have them in place year after year.
Below you can see how I add the Post Its to the template before I print.
I then place the questions on the copier and print. It is that easy!
Pull off the Post Its and add to the corresponding pages of the book.
