Beat Summer Boredom with Oobleck!

Summer is in full swing, but that doesn't mean that learning needs to stop.  Some of the best learning takes place when kids can play and explore.

Have you tried Oobleck?  Oobleck is a great way to beat summer boredom with some fun and educational learning.  This substance acts like a liquid and a solid.  It drips when you pour it.  It crumbles when you rub it in your hands. 

Oobleck Recipe:

Add one cup of cornstarch to a bowl.  Slow add in small amounts of water until your mixture is like a thick syrup.  

Here are some fun facts about Oobleck:

*It is both a solid and liquid.

*You can roll it into a ball, but it will quickly lose its shape.  

*If you leave it in the sun, it will lose its color and become hard on the top.
*You can add food coloring to make colored oobleck.
