Is Your Heart in Your Room?

What did we do before teaching blogs and Pinterest?

I know I am a better teacher now because of them. I have found so many great ideas that my to-do list keeps getting longer and longer. I have found TONS of ideas that have helped my classroom be better organized.

As teachers, our classroom is our second home. We spend so much time there. We try and create a learning environment that engages our kiddos and makes them feel "at home".

As I was working in my classroom recently, I stopped to wonder if my kiddos would really care about how I was "cute"sifying a drawer. Ummm, probably not.

Is a cute clip board going to help their brains soak up knowledge better or engage them more in the lesson? Probably not.

These things do make us happier. =)

But in the end, our children may not remember how cute our classrooms are but they WILL remember how we make them feel.

Put down your craft right now and hop over to Heather's Heart to read more about putting your heart in your room.

While you are there, grab these 2 poems to put in your room to help you remember that before you reach their heads you have to touch their hearts.

From My Heart to Yours,
