Shadow Fun!

Friends~I am back from vacation and boy did it get HOT back home!  We are wearing out the path to our neighborhood swimming pool!  I have been wracking my brain trying to come up with some fun indoor activities for my family.

Every night at bedtime, my little guy Ian makes shadow puppets with his hands by nightlight for me.  We tell stories to go along with the images.  It is such a sweet time so I thought why no run with this a bit!
Below you will see Ian trying out a few shadow puppets for me!
A Butterfly
A Worm

Here are some of the images I found for us to practice with!  We had a blast making up our own.  Like Ian's worm!

I then found this great site that talks about using shadow puppets in the classroom with literacy.  Click the image below to read more about it!

I am thinking that my new Cricut machine and I have a date this week making new puppets to go along with some of my back to school stories!

Click here to check out this fun site I found for making a Shadow Puppet Theater!  This is totally in our family's future!

I sure hope you found this interesting and that you keep cool this week!  You can read more about my color and light review by clicking my blog button below.

There is a fun Shadow Detective freebie there to download:)
