To end the question of "When's lunch?"

It never fails.  Every single year, I hear the same questions over and over and over again.  When's lunch?  Is it time to go home yet?  Do we have art or music today?  For the life of me I couldn't figure out why my kids couldn't follow the class schedule.  Then I figured it out...they couldn't read it!  Which is why I created a more kid-friendly display.

The original schedule change was a way to modify the day for a student with special needs & help him break it down into more manageable segments.  But it only took a couple of weeks to see that it was a benefit to all of my kindergarteners!

Just print the picture cards, cut them apart & rearrange them wherever you hang your daily schedule.  I used magnets on the dry erase board and kept the additional pieces in a pocket nearby.  You could attach them with velcro on the back, slip them into a pocket chart or hang them with clothespins on a piece of ribbon.  No matter how you display your schedule, have your Calendar Helper take down each card as your class completes the subject.  {See, I've even created a new job for your kids!}

Kids of all ages will be able to use their picture clues to tell what comes next and if recess is getting close.  :)  Come visit me to get your {free} copy.  There are 38 labels to choose from as well as blank boxes for your own personalization!
