Teaching Phonics Sounds

Watching children to learn how to read has to be one of the BEST parts about teaching!  I LOVE to making reading fun and exciting.  I think that reading success comes when we provide students with a variety of ways to interact with various instructional materials.  Boring reading instruction can be tortuous...for EVERYONE...if you know what I mean;)

I recently created some Alphabet Phonics Headbands to help teach letter sounds.  Since kids love to color and cut, this was a perfect way to add a bit of FUN into learning all the letter sounds:)   It is proven that kids learn best when they are having FUN!

Meeting Common Core Standards doesn't have to be BORING!

How do YOU make leaning to read FUN for your students?
